How to Measure Axles

Description

Axles are measured based on Outer Hub Face Distance and Spring Center Dimensions.  Please reference the images to ensure accuracy of concepts. 

Axles can be Drop, Straight, or Cambered Beams.

Beams can be made of square, round or rectanctangle tubing.

Torsion Axles will not have springs, but will have an arm that sticks out. The suspension is inside the axle.

Make sure you measure your bolt pattern on 5Lug Axles as there are many different sizes.  Most common is 5on4.5″, which will measure 2-5/8″ from Lug1Center to Lug2 Center.
